Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Program: The Challenge of Energy Efficiency in Central America. New business models offer advantages such as improved income opportunities and quality of life for the sectors that implement them. Under this premise, energy efficiency becomes the key for the Central American electricity sector to achieve savings in areas such as lighting, climate control (air conditioning), electromobility, and sustainable buildings.

ESCAN’s Participation in the Project.

• • Collaboration in the Renewable Energy Program and energy efficiency in Central America (4E) during the phase of improving energy efficiency. The counterpart is the Ministries of the six Central American countries.
  • The potential for expanding efficient technologies in lighting, air conditioning, and refrigeration has been assessed, as well as initial progress in sustainable building and electric mobility.
  • Proposal of Ten Measures to Stimulate the Market for Efficient Technologies.
