In this new meeting held on May 11 in Madrid, several proposals and tools elaborated in the European QualDeEPC project were discussed. Its objective is the potential introduction of them into the processes and regulations for certification and energy renovation of buildings. Institutions at the national and regional level were invited, with the participation of representatives from IDAE – National Energy Agency, Energy Body of Castilla y León, Galician Energy Institute, University of Zaragoza, as well as representatives of Associations and Companies.
Some of the proposals and tools:
- A new Energy Performance Certificate Model (EPC), easier to understand.
- The need for updated training for EPC professional.
- Improvement of energy information in sales and rental advertisements.
- Mandatory National Information Platform focused energy certification and renovation, managed institutional level.
About this last proposal, the newly created “qualrenovate” platform developed by Escan is offered to be considered by the Ministries and other institutions related to this subject. It concluded with an invitation by the Saint-Gobain company in whose premises the event was held.
