The REMARKABLE project, within the framework of the European H2020 programme, is designing a Climate Leadership Programme in collaboration with local authorities. The methodology is based on contents agreement and creating a network of public representatives as climate leaders belonging to the participating municipalities together with other experts in climate neutrality.
On April 28, a Workshop is held in Valladolid, managed by Escan as REMARKABLE project partner. Representatives of the municipalities and energy agencies who participated in the event made contributions to the Climate Leadership Program. Also, the first results that were collected with questionnaire and interviews have been presented. The municipal visions and objectives for the elaboration of the Roadmaps for Climate Neutrality in 2050 were also debated.
Several measures were agreed on this subject, such as the elaboration of the emissions and energy consumption baseline ensuring the collaboration of the private and business sector, civil society and the educational community, the selection of the sectors with the greatest incidence in each municipality, etc.
Escan appreciates the participation in the organization and attendance of the EREN, AEMVA, APEA, SODEBUR, MUNICIPALITIES of León, Burgos, Valladolid, Belorado, San Mamés, Sargentes de la Lora, Castrillo Mota de Judíos and Prioro, as well as the Assembly of Madrid and the Town Hall of Rivas Vaciamadrid.
