European SMEs are facing a critical juncture: they need to understand the new regulatory requirements for energy efficiency that they must meet under the Energy Efficiency Directive.
However, accurately calculating energy consumption is no simple task for most small and medium-sized enterprises, leaving key questions unanswered: Which regulations apply to them? Do energy efficiency measures still yield results at their specific scale of consumption?
The European project BUSINESS2ACT is developing statistical analyses and proxy indicators to help SMEs assess their current standing and—more importantly—determine their next steps.
