This event, which will take place on Monday 8th June in Brussels, also with online streaming from 3.00 pm to 5.45 pm (Brussels time), will mark the final conference of the European LIFE projects POWER-E-COM (ESCAN), ISLET (FEDARENE) and DISCOVER (AISFOR).
The conference will bring together citizens, practitioners and policymakers wishing to promote energy communities across Europe, driving the energy transition through this initiative led by citizens, businesses and SMEs, companies and public authorities, whilst boosting the local economy and social cohesion.
During this conference, several experts will highlight the main barriers that could be encountered during the creation of energy communities and how to overcome them; they will explore the technical aspects of the process in more detail and discuss best practices drawn from real-life examples, which will serve as a learning resource for replicating and establishing new energy communities across Europe.
